It is vital to get the right fit. Great fitting soccer gloves can give you more security confidence and the most natural touch with the ball. Having it too tight will cause premature wear or splits in the fabrics. But having it too loose can create an awkward grip on the ball.
But again, the perfect fit is a personal preference. Some keepers want to have more room (Flat Palm or Roll Finger), and some want a snug fit like the “Negative.”
To get a more accurate measurement of your goalkeeping gloves, measure the middle finger’s tip to the bottom of your palm. Add 0.5cm to your size to consider the width of the glove and allow a little extra space. From there, measure your outer palm to the tip of your thumb.

How to Clean Goalkeeper Gloves
-
- To get the best out of your goalkeeper gloves, wash them as soon as possible after each use in warm water (maximum 30° C).
-
- Put them in the sink to rinse and soak. Make sure to rinse off all of the glove cleaner residues if you use a solvent because leaving it on the gloves could cause damage.
-
- Hand-wash the gloves, carefully scrubbing dirt off with your fingertips. It is worth remembering that too much effort will break the latex. For this purpose, we do not suggest using any kind of brush or scrubber.
-
- Applying a glove cleaner on the gloves is optional, but using it will keep your mind at peace as all the debris is cleaned. Make sure you follow the directions for the solution you bought.
-
- Allow for normal drying of the gloves, which could take around a day.
